SimpleScalar is a popular cycle-level architectural simulator that
simulates a MIPS-like instruction set. It has thousands of users from

An older GNU toolchain (using binutils 2.5.2) is available for
SimpleScalar. I have moved the changes from 2.5.2 into the most
recent version of binutils. I would like to contribute these changes
to the binutils distribution so that others may use them and the tools
will continue to improve.
What do I need to do to make this happen?
