No, if your patch is OK with the binutils maintainers, it's OK with me too. I
just had concerns from the beginning that your approach may not be appropriate
for mainline binutils, and Ian seemed to confirm it, but then Ian is no longer
the maintainer and definitely neither am I, so it will be up to Nick to decide.
In any case I want *some* m68k --embedded-reloc support in trunk binutils. And
in these parts if you want something, you must champion it. I cannot champion
your patch, only you can, although I won't object if you do. But since I want
*some* patch for this purpose, need it assertively, and cannot depend on you or
anyone else in this, I'm working on my own patch that I *can* champion. But if
you in the meantime get yours championed and approved, I won't be upset. I just
need *some* support for this.
