Forgot to mention: I've gotta thank one of my coworkers, Ed
Satterthwaite, for an initial implementation of these changes in our
source tree (based on binutils 2.9.1) which I didn't copy but did take
much guidance from. (He's got an assignment on file, too, so it's all
OK even if I did copy. 8-) And, the additional stuff i'll be
submitting after my queue is drained relating to e.g. MIPS5 will be
even closer to his work.
Anyway, not directly relevant, but "credit where credit is due," and
he deserves a bunch.
