Problem on binutils-2.14.90.0.6 on Ia64

Hello all ..,

Currnetly i am using the

GNU ld version 2.11.90.0.8 (with BFD 2.11.90.0.8)
 Supported emulations:
  elf64_ia64

Version in IA64.I want to upgrade the linker for further development in IA64.I have configured the binutils-2.14.90.0.6 with the prefix only. And i have successfully make the binutils.

While make install i am getting the errors as
# make install
/bin/sh ./mkinstalldirs /usr/local/src/rpm/binutils /usr/local/src/rpm/binutils
make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/local/src/rpm/binutils-2.14.90.0.6/bfd'

./chew -f ./doc.str <./../aoutx.h >aoutx.tmp
nput file ./doc.str
make[2]: *** [s-aoutx] Error 33

make[1]: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/rpm/binutils-2.14.90.0.6/bfd'
make: *** [install-bfd] Error 2

What is this error.Specifically the *** [s-aoutx] Error 33.Please give some information about the features in the binutils configuration.

I suspect that, wether is it occuring because of Permission problem in
aoutx.tmp or doc.str.

Please give the solution for this problem.

Thanks in advance.

Muthu
