Thanks for all.. The fact is, this issue was (hopefully) fixed by the
patch I proposed later on, which you DID *promptly* apply to binutils/ld
(sometime last week).
This message (the one you replied to) predates the patch.. So is it
possible you read your queue backwards ? (I do that all the time).
There is still another oddity though (but I am not sure how to solve that
really) It comes from a conflict between ld global symbol merging and the
Windows platform DLL import mechanism.
I'll try to give you a test case ASAP. Maybe you'll come up with a bright
idea on how to deal with this case.
