- Subject: [PATCH] Set EXTRA_SHLIB_EXTENSION for LynxOS
Hi,
On LynxOS, we have symlinks (e.g., /lib/shlib/libnsl.a or
/lib/shlib/libbsd.a) pointing to shared libraries. Since the ld ELF
backend does not recognize the .a extension as a possible shared
library extension it does not set the dt_name field (the name that
will be used in DT_NEEEDED entries) for the library (see
gld${EMULATION_NAME}_open_dynamic_archive}). If this field is not set
the full filename is used in the DT_NEEEDED field which does not have
the right effect in cross builds.
This is a temporary fix as once we rename these links to have the
correct .so extension the change can go away.
