Hi Jan,

For the purpose of identifying source files without additional debug
info, these symbols should not be eliminated by means of
--strip-local-absolute.

I am not convinced about this. In what kind of situation would this feature be useful ? ie - if you have been creating an object without debugging information and you have stripped the local absolute symbols from it, why would you expect to be able to identify the source files involved in its creation ?
