Glancing at gas.log and your patch it may be mostly or all
expected failures, just needing cleanup. (For the record, AFAIK
the policy is that the person introducing the change do the
testsuite adjustments. But just inspection and advice of action
and hint of expected changes to target maintainer is certainly
ok by me.)
