Hi Ed,
So - what is the state of linker support on AIX?
The GNU linker still does not fully support AIX, sorry.
but it looks
from my experience that the *native* linker doesn't work with gcc very
well either, at least to build various OSS packages.
You may find that using an older version of gcc will give better results (in
terms of getting things compiled, rather then in the performance of the
compiled binaries).
