Yep, it's a bad idea.

It's nice, but add some comments(just like amodra did) in example two
maybe helpful, like this:

 .section A
  .subsection 1
   .word 0x1234
 .section B
  .subsection 0
   .word 0x5678
# Here we are in section B, subsection 0
  .subsection 1
   .word 0x9abc
# Now we are in section B, subsection 1
 .previous
  .word 0xdef0
# So .previous takes you back to section B, subsection 0

Does the comments make this nice example a mass?
