For the Debian/Ubuntu packages I did apply:
From: "Joseph S. Myers" <joseph@codesourcery.com>
To: binutils@sourceware.org
Subject: Fix R_ARM_THM_CALL relocations against undefined weak symbols in
shared libraries
Message-ID: <Pine.LNX.4.64.0811250128211.30075@digraph.polyomino.org.uk>
plus the fix for PR 7011, seen when building dietlibc.
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/binutils/+bug/254790
I'll ask if people do want to rebuild the distribution with binutils-2.19
instead of 2.18 in Debian, so maybe a release late in January would be nice to
eventually fix more regressions on non-standard architectures.
