While I see no harm in the patch, be aware that for many assembly
languages, dotted extensions to the instruction mnemonic are
sometimes modelled as cgen operands adjacent to the mnemonic,
instead of parts of the mnemonic keyword proper. This may or
may not apply to your port, and doesn't invalidate the potential
usefulness of this patch, just be aware of this alternate approach.
