gcc-2.95 was the next major release after egcs-1.1.x.  So gcc-2.95.x is 
newer (and IMHO much better) than egcs-1.1.2.

gcc-2.95 has a set of release notes, but we do not try to document each and
every change in the release notes, just the major changes.

If you want the gory details you'll have to read the ChangeLog entries.

There's no way to know if you don't take the time to submit the bug report.
