which target for ARM?

Hello,

With a lot of helps from this mailing list, my crossgcc for target
"arm-coff" seems to be working! Thanks a lot.

However, questions keep coming... Which is actually not a bad thing for me:)

My goal at this stage is to get a "helloworld" stand-alone up and running
on an ARM7TDMI Development board. And I hope that stand-alone is built on
my linux host with crossgcc.

I was wondering, does anybody have similiar experiences? There are more
than one ARM related targets supported by crossgcc. As I said I got
"arm-coff" up, and am going to try the a.out on the ARM board. But is
"arm-coff" the right word for this? Could anyone point me to some resources
related to "coff", "elf", "aout", etc? Those seems to me are OS-related,
but I will not load OS on ARM board at this time, just a "helloworld".

Thanks again.

Regards.
Tian Ling
