Hi all, I am trying to build a .s file where it is implemented one function from a .c file just for optimization. When I compiled the .s file I obtained a lot of "unsupported relocation type". Looking for the solution, I found that I must include the option -mregnames for gas to understand that rX were registers. After that I have solved many of the errors, but I still obtain seven "unsupported relocation type". I am enclosing some of the code lines that generate the errors: .... lwz r5, PBDAT(r4) .... li r5, TIMER_MAX .... PBDAT and TIMER_MAX are defined as follows: #define PBDAT IMR_ULONG( 0x0AC4 ) #define IMR_ULONG( addr ) V_ULONG( CFG_IMMR + addr ) #define IMR_ULONG( addr ) ( addr ) #define V_ULONG( a ) (*(volatile unsigned long *)( a )) .... #define TIMER_MAX (0xFFFFFFFF) .... Do you know how to fix the problem? Any help would be grateful. -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- | David de Andrés Martínez | Fault Tolerant Systems research Group | | | | | Computer Science Engineer | Email: ddandres@disca.upv.es | | Doctorate Student | Phone: +34 96 387.75.74 Ext 75774 | | | Fax: +34 96 387.75.79 | -------Address-------------------------------------------------------- | DISCA-EUI | | Universidad Politécnica de Valencia | | Campus de Vera #14 | | Valencia E-46021 | | Spain | ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ------ Want more information?
