    Hi Daniel,

  Add -gdwarf-2 to your command line and if it isn't enabled the compiler
will
give a warning or error message.  My ppc version seems to work fine with 
dwarf-2, but when I try -gdwarf-1 I get:

>cc1plus.exe: warning: `-gdwarf-1' not supported by this configuration of
GCC

so the error message is probably very similar the other way round.  If it
doesn't complain, it should be OK!
