Gcc 3.0.3: target powerpc-*-eabi

I just built the tools (Gcc 3.0.3, Binutils 2.11.2, newlib-1.9.0) for
my powerpc-unknown-eabi -target under the latest Cygwin on Win2K.

It all went smoothly, and I can compile test programs ok, like:
powerpc-unknown-eabi-gcc -myellowknife -o hello hello.c

The problem: when I use the -mno-eabi -option with the compiler
I still get undefined reference to '__eabi' in function main when
trying to link with ld.

The Gcc 3.0.3 manual page (and what the Gcc egcs-2.91.66 under my Linux box does)
states there should be no call to eabi initialization
function. If I compile with -S and look at the assembler sources, the only
difference between the gcc generated code between -meabi and -mno-eabi -options
is the different alignment of the stack. With both options, the call to __eabi
is there.

Is there something wrong with the Gcc 3.0.3 or is it just me ?
