Correct.  Asm'ing a variable into a floating-point register is going to
make GCC very confused when you tell it that it can't use the floating
point registers.

Not really.  Hmm, perhaps the code for associating a variable with a
fixed register could detect this; I'm not sure we have enough
information to realize that fr1 is unusable.
