Thanks for the clue. Since we seem to prefer the 2.4 kernel, I'll get the 2.4.21 version of rmk patches and try it.

OK. I'd still like to know why you need the kernel patches when building your toolchain, though. I don't need 'em to *build* the tools at all. What error are you running into without them? Or are you doing this simply because you have a hunch you'll need it down the line? - Dan
