In the ptx distribution, you can type "make xconfig" and get a nice graphic interface to the .config file. This isn't available in the crosstool directory, so I have been configuring under ptx and copying into crosstool. This takes some manual tweaking (PTXCONF_PREFIX etc).
Is there a more automatic way to set the appropriate path, kernel, and toolchain variables in the ptx.config file? It should be something that knows about the variables used by crosstool to generate the toolchain.
Yes. See ptxdist*/scripts/settoolchain.sh. This is called by ptx.sh (which is called by all.sh) already, so you shouldn't need to set those things by hand. Did you find something it didn't set correctly? If so, please submit a patch... - Dan
