I succesfully ran demo-ppc750.sh from crosstool-0.28-pre7 on my ibook with Mac OS X 10.2, with fink's fileutils, gawk, sed, and wget installed.

Ah, thanks. I'll try it myself sometime soon. Are those four
fink packages required for sure?

GNU fileutils aren't necessary.

Excellent, thanks for the info. So it's just fink install gawk sed wget for the moment, and maybe we can get rid of the need for wget since curl seems to be preinstalled?

But without GNU awk, I get:
...
*** errlist.c count 126 vs Versions sys_errlist@GLIBC_2.0 count 123
make[2]: *** [/Volumes/root/crosstool-0.28-pre7/build/powerpc-750-linux-gnu/gcc -3.3.3-glibc-2.3.2/build-glibc/stdio-common/errlist-compat.c] Error 1
make[1]: *** [stdio-common/subdir_lib] Error 2

Hey, that's good info! I've seen people get that error, now I know to suggest intalling gnu awk... - Dan
