I am still facing problems with the new arm cross tool. ... The error message is
cd /home/kripa/crosstool/src/ /home/kripa/crosstool/tarballs/binutils-2.14.tar.gz: no file or directory
Add a 'set -x' to getandpatch.sh (or whatever script is failing), that should illuminate things.
(BTW rather than using English to describe your environment variables, it's nice to simply post a shell script that reproduces the problem.)
