Well, that's what I normally do; The idea is that PTXdist always had a
i386-generic-glibc target which is meant to be a demo configuration
which should be buildable by almost anybody to try out the look-and-feel
of PTXdist without the need of special hardware. 

It seems that I'll have to give that up or split it up into an
automatism which selects the right glibc variant for the compiler the
user has on his machine.
