I wouldn't recommend the IXP4xx for new designs.  You can't get the
NPE specs anywhere (even though the IXP1200 and IXP2000 specs are
freely available), which sort-of renders the entire network part of
the chip useless.  At that point, it's just another ARM core.  One
with a PCI interface, though.
