Re: CT: Any obstacles for using gcc 4.0 snapshots?

[ This message is a bit stream-of-consciousness; feel free to ignore
  it if you don't want to see sausage being made.
  All this nastiness is only for people who really want glibc-2.2.5
  with gcc-4.0. Sensible people will use glibc-2.3.4 instead.]
=== 8< 8< 8< ===
I tried what you suggested - gcc-4.0-20050305-glibc-2.3.4.dat, but it gets stuck (or so it seems) just after the command:

===========
cat /cygdrive/c/DATA/crosstool-0.28-rc37/build/powerpc-405-linux-gnu/gcc-4.0-2
0050305-glibc-2.3.4/build-glibc/Versions.v \
| LC_ALL=C gawk -v buildroot=/cygdrive/c/DATA/crosstool-0.28-rc37/build/powerpc-405-linux-gnu/gcc-4.0-20050305-glibc-2.3.4/build-glibc/ -v defsfile=/cygdrive/c/DATA/crosstool-0.28-rc37/build/powerpc-405-linux-gnu/gcc-4.0-20050305-glibc-2.
3.4/build-glibc/Versions.all \
-v move_if_change='/bin/sh.exe scripts/move-if-change' \
-f scripts/versions.awk; \
) > /cygdrive/c/DATA/crosstool-0.28-rc37/build/powerpc-405-linux-gnu/gcc-4.0-20050305-glibc-2.3.4/build-glibc/sysd-versionsT
version GLIBC_2.0 not defined for libc
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
===========

It just hangs there, filling "build-glibc/GLIBC_2.0.mapT" with whitespaces.
I stopped it when it reached 20megs of whitespace :-)

Maybe this is bound to be run in a Linux env.?!
