I just downloaded crosstool-0.31 and generated a x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu compiler - awesome ! Brilliant tool! :-)
Glad it worked. (And I hope the resulting compiler doesn't have any latent bugs that grab you later.)
I wonder if it would be possible, as Solaris 10 is now open source, to generate a cross compiler for Solaris 10 Sparc (on a Linux x86 host)
The source code is not yet online at http://www.opensolaris.org/ When it is, yes, it ought to be possible to add solaris 10 targets to crosstool.
I probably won't do it myself, but perhaps some motivated Solaris fan might? - Dan
