I'm having problems putting together a gcc toolchain for an xscale processor that doesn't have floating-point support.
I used crosstool-0.29, setting the 'eval' line of demo-arm-xscale.sh to be:
eval `cat arm-xscale.dat gcc-3.3.2-glibc-2.3.2.dat` sh all.sh --notest
Maybe the problem is that soft float for arm wasn't fully supported until gcc-4.0? Earlier releases required patches that I don't carry in crosstool because they are feature additions rather than bugfixes. See Dmitry Andric's patch repository, http://www.andric.com/cross/patches/
