you're right, it appears that the gcc-4.0.0 arm bigendian patch is
still needed for gcc-4.0.2, as it is for gcc-4.0.1 as well (just based
on eyeballing the patch and source file.)  i guess no one ever
exercised gcc-4.0.1 with respect to that patch to notice it was
missing.

p.s.  the build using gcc-4.0.2 finished using the above two patches
and tells me it successfully compiled the test program for SH3.
