No. Solaris is not a supported target.


Though now that Solaris 10 is open source,
perhaps it would be possible to have a crosstool-solaris.sh.

I am on a lost cause? Do I need some other tools? Any one has an idea
if its possible to build binaries for solaris on a linux machine?

It's certainly possible! All you need to do is copy the appropriate headers and libraries from a Solaris machine. Kai has posted about how to do this many times, and might even reply to your question, he's very helpful. Perhaps once you have a script that works, you can post it here.
