I got an error that the gcc version was old, which I could understand because I was running 4.0.2. I upgraded to 4.1.0 20051029, which is the absolute latest.


You shouldn't have had to update; 4.0.2 is plenty new.
Please post the last 15 or so lines of the log
ending with the error message; that ought to jog
our collective memory about this.
