not being an ARM weenie, is there a config file that would be
reasonably close to the one i'd need for the aforementioned board?

I thinkbringing in the 2.4.x config file might work? It might; the kernel configurator should at least take over all compatible
options.

Also, please note that support for this board is not only about a good config. I know there is one patch to tell the
kernel about this card's no-keyboard hack.

And following Lennert, I should have suggested linux-arm-kernel instead of linux-arm m.l.
