Both also successfully built the U-Boot code (v1.1.4).

Thanks for the info. Perhaps there are bugfixes in gcc-3.4.1, who knows...

(I asked this because I'm trying to build the linux
kernel, and it hangs after decompress.  I'm afraid the
toolchain has something to do with this problem also.)
