Problem in compiling bootstrap gcc

Dear all,
I am compiling a bootstrap cross gcc. My target is
powerpc-unknown-linux-gnu. The gcc version that I am compiling is 4.2.2. the
binutils is 2.18. and I am compiling on ubuntu linux 2.6.22.

I have configured it by this:
./configure --target=$TARGET --prefix=$PREFIX --without-headers
--with-newlib --with-gnu-as --with-gnu-ld

During the compilation I receive this error.
