I like this feature. Let me know if you need help testing it, as I am working on a similar workflow.

Seriously, I'm really uncomfortable with that code duplication. I think there is a nice way to handle that with the existing code and a few more tests... I'll poke at that later tonight...
The same source archive can now be used both for crosstool *and* buildroot, which was my aim.
