All, I'm looking to get a toolchain going for a target PowerPC 8548 e500v2, running Linux 2.6.33.2 and a compiler with at least a gcc-4.4.x (preferably 4.4.3). I've attached my configuration file to this email for further details. I have been able to build under the gcc-4.3.x, but when switching, I get the following error(s): [ERROR] make[3]: *** [/local/mcconnec/powerpc_8548/targets/powerpc-e500v2-linux-gnuspe/build/ build-libc/misc/syslog.o] Error 1 [ALL ] make[3]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs.... [ALL ] make[3]: Leaving directory `/local/mcconnec/powerpc_8548/targets/src/eglibc-2_10/misc' [ERROR] make[2]: *** [misc/subdir_lib] Error 2 [ALL ] make[2]: Leaving directory `/local/mcconnec/powerpc_8548/targets/src/eglibc-2_10' [ERROR] make[1]: *** [all] Error 2 [ALL ] make[1]: Leaving directory `/local/mcconnec/powerpc_8548/targets/powerpc-e500v2-linux-gnuspe/build/ build-libc' [ERROR] Build failed in step 'Installing C library' [ERROR] Error happened in '/usr/local/lib/ct-ng-1.7.0/scripts/functions' in function 'CT_DoExecLog' (line unknown, sorry) [ERROR] called from '/usr/local/lib/ct-ng-1.7.0/scripts/build/libc/eglibc.sh' at line # 336 in function 'do_libc' [ERROR] called from '/usr/local/lib/ct-ng-1.7.0/scripts/crosstool-NG.sh' at line # 578 in function 'main' [ERROR] Look at '/local/mcconnec/powerpc_8548/toolchain/build.log' for more info on this error. I've been researching for a while now and found other users trying to get gcc-4.4.x to work for other target architectures, however they seem to hit a wall as well (some similar to the one above, others are not). I was hoping someone has come across this problem before and I've some how missed a patch, or configuration option that should get over this hurdle. Any help/thoughts/suggestions/comments will be very appreciated.
