FWIW, the trunk (at least as of ff2181adbd28) fails to build lxdialog
on my system (again, Fedora 12 x86_64), due to not finding the ncurses
library.  So it looks like I've got two systems that whine about one
way or the other.  :)

Definitely willing to test any new commit, or if you can point me at a
rev of ... crosstool-NG.sh.in (?) that has the "old" logic, I'd be
happy to run it on both.
