It did not apply because it has fuzz 2 and ct-ng calls patch -F1.

  Applying patch 140_pr10340.patch
  patching file ld/ldfile.c
  Hunk #1 succeeded at 351 with fuzz 2 (offset 43 lines).

But I just found Debian has another interesting patch for
http://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=13468
which I'll add, too.
