New package: amanda-3.3.2-8


Version 3.3.2-8 of "amanda" has been uploaded.

NEWS:

This is the latest stable release of amanda.
The upstream documentation can be found in /usr/share/doc/amanda/.

DESCRIPTION:
============
AMANDA, the Advanced Maryland Automatic Network Disk Archiver,
is a backup system that allows the administrator of a LAN to set up a
single master backup server to back up multiple hosts to a single large
capacity tape or disk drive. Amanda uses native tools
(such as GNUtar, dump) for backup and can back up a large number
of workstations running multiple versions of Unix/Mac OS X/Linux/Windows.

UPDATE:
=======
To update your installation, click on the "Install Cygwin now" link on
the http://cygwin.com/ web page.  This downloads setup.exe to your
system. Save it and run setup, answer the questions and pick up 'amanda'
from the 'Archive' category.

The amanda manuals are installed as a manpage ('man amanda').
