Ok.  I've blocked this subject.  This is the wrong mailing list for
debugging g++ problems.

Btw, on a subject that is on-topic here, I am seriously thinking of
removing the gcc2 package.  I don't want to be associated with a package
that apparently has a simple error, and I am not interested in tracking
the error down.  So, it seems like the only alternative is to eliminate
the package.
