I'll rename the packages, however, probably I should remove files from
the distribution which are installed in /usr/bin besides the versioned
ones.

Well, I have 5.8.2 reuploaded.

Sure, this is the way to go.  However, I want to keep 5.6.1 around as
long as possible.  Since it will be at the mirrors it is always possible
to fetch it and instal it manually.  And the 'Joe User' will see 5.8.2
as previous and 5.8.5 as current.
