merge cygwin-xfree and cygwin lists?

This probably isn't strictly on-topic for this list but I'm solicting
opinions. I'm wondering if the separation of cygwin-xfree and cygwin is
of any use.

IIRC, I was reluctant to split the list when it first happened many
years ago. I did it because the maintainer at the time didn't want to
read the cygwin list.

Our current X maintainers are more plugged into the mainstream Cygwin
development so I don't think we really need the arbitrary split anymore.

Does anyone else agree/disagree that the split is no longer required?

I know that Yaakov agrees that the mailing lists should be merged but
I'm wondering of Jon and others also agree.
