I agree with Corinna. Great enhancement, but 300ms should be a good
trade-off for unpatient people...

For impatient people, perhaps it would be better to have "enter" mean "I have finished typing, do the search now", rather than trying to come
up with a timeout which suits everyone.

This might be as straightforward as giving the search text entry box the multiline style, so it can receive enter, rather than it going to the dialogs default button (next), but probably involves a bit more fiddling...
