This is a pre-release of the upcoming X11R6.8 release and is intended
for testing the package and the software itself.

Please report bugs and problems either to the Cygwin/X mailing list (see below)
or to the X.org bugzilla (http://freedesktop.org/bugzilla/index.cgi?product=xorg)

Changes (incomplete)

- lot of bugfixes
- upgrade to MESA 6
- Xfixes extension
- Damage extension
- XEVIE extension
- Composite extension (currently disabled) 
- updates to Xprint 

Notes
=====

Some of the libraries are likely to change (the XEVIE client part is
now in libXext but may move to a separate library). Don't use this release
for building packages.

To update your installation, click on the "Install Cygwin now" link on
the http://cygwin.com/ web page.  This downloads setup.exe to your
system.  Once you've downloaded setup.exe, run it and select "X11"
and then click on the appropriate field until the above announced
version number appears if it is not displayed already.

Since the packages are marked as test you will need to select them 
all manually or use the "Exp" switch located above the package listing.
This will select all Test packages for installation (most likely non
xorg-x11-* packages too) which you can deselect in the "Partial" view
(click twice on the partial button)

If your mirror doesn't yet have the latest version of this package after
24 hours, you can either continue to wait for that site to be updated or
you can try to find another mirror. mirrors.kernel.org already has these 
packages.
