Problems starting xfree
I have tried to run XFree86 for Cygwin on my PC with W98 installed.
When I run the startdx.bat file containing the following:
@echo off
SET DISPLAY=127.0.0.1:0.0
SET PATH=%PATH%;\usr\bin\X11
start DXWin32 :0 -geometry 1024x768
start xterm -sl 1000 -sb -rightbar -ms red -fg yellow -bg black
start twm
2 dos-windows pop up and 2 warning messages.
Warning 1 says: Couldn't open RGB_DB '/usr/lib/X11/rgb'
Warning 2 says: could not open default font 'fixed'
If I ok the warnings the dos-windows disappear.
As to warning number 1 it can be said that the file rgb.txt is in
the /usr/lib/X11 directory (I checked). Even if I use the commandline option
to
specify the colortable the error persists for the file specified.
