Hi all,
I've just recently installed cygwin-xfree (from the binaries) on a
W2k Pro box, and I've been very impressed. I think I'll be able to
use this instead of going out to buy Hummingbird's
Excrete^H^H^H^H^H^H^H Exceed.
I've already read the threads in the archive about the colors being
screwy, so I understand that its being worked on. Sorry, I've got
very meager programming skills, so I can't help. :(
I have two questions.
1) The colors seem to be okay in 8-bit color. Can someone tell me
why colors work okay in 8-bit, but not in "deeper" screens?
2) Colored text in xterms (i.e. colored text in the bash prompt) is
not working for me. It works fine in the bash cygwin terms, but just
appears black in the xterms. Did I do something wrong?
Thanks for your time.
