 xterm usually crashed if libX11.dll and libXext.dll ae not in path,
or you have conflicting versions of cygwin1.dll installed.  make srue your
paths are correct in startxwin.bat file and you have only one cygwin1.dll on
your machine

Could you run the System Monitor (Start->Programs->Accessories->System
Tools->System Monitor, or somewhere close to that), and see if your CPU
usage goes to 100% when XWin.exe crashes?

Also, try REMing the line that starts xterm, as I have seen xterm crash
on
my machine and take 100% of the cpu time when it does.
