Hi Harold,
I downloaded the test executable as you suggested and followed the
directions for replacing XWin.exe with the test stuff. Whatever gets kicked
off by startxwin.bat lives a short unhappy life with that version in place.
Was there something on the list about test 18 now being moot? I'm sorry if
this info is out-of-date, but it's hard for me to sort out what's relevant
in this mailing list. Anyway, the download web page said "enjoy". :)

Alex,
Sorry about that 4.0 vs. 4.0.3 confusion: the User's Guide is slightly out
of date.
You can install whichever version you get your hands on.
You'll want to grab my latest test executable:
http://www.msu.edu/~huntharo/xwin/shadow/
The rgb tarball is about 2 kB, I'll email it to you.
Huh... there doesn't seem to be a vtwm tarball. I'm not sure that their
ever was. I've got vtwm, but I have no idea how I got it. :) I could send
my vtwm executable to you, if you would like.
