Errors running Cygwin/XFree86 on WindowsXP

When I run startxwin.bat the only thing I see is the blank Cygwin/XFree86
desktop, with a small rectangle in the top left corner that says bash.  When
I click on it, it disappears.  Xterm failed to launch also.  Any ideas what
is causing the errors below -- the font problem and the heap problem.   I
have all the required fonts installed.  I'm running this on a post beta 2
build of WindowsXP.
