Re: Win XP and xfree86


Please make sure to "reply to all" when replying, so the communications will
stay on the group.  In order to run Xfree, you need to first install cygwin. 
It mentions it in the documents.  Cygwin is a great way to have a unix-like
environment on your windows PC.  It allows for porting of unix apps to windows
as well, so it is really really nice.

Once it is installed, follow the instructions for installing XFree.  It will
install much like it would on a unix machine.  I suggest that you install it in
the directories that the documentation states.

As for ISPs, I have no clue.  I use cable modem.  If your connection was
working on your DOS based X server, it should work with XFree.  Dial up
connections are always a pain for running remote X applications though.
