H i Firoz,
You should check that you do not have a firewall running. I had the same
problem and it was due to my firewall: it was refusing the connection to
the X server.

the other ways of trying to run X ( via dos) result in
same thing....although both the methods do give me a
new X window, but there isn't anything in it.
I have looked the mailing archieve and it seems people
had problems with default font which isn't in my
case...
any help would b greatly appriciated...
